      Short version: FIFO and the FIFO Browser Extension do not sell your data, do not store your bank credentials, and do not share your financial information with any third party. Your data is yours.
    

What FIFO does

FIFO is a personal finance app that helps you track, categorize, and understand your bank transactions. The FIFO Browser Extension is a companion tool that lets you connect your bank account by reading transaction data directly from your bank's website in your own browser.

What data the extension collects

The FIFO Browser Extension reads the following data from your bank's website after you log in:

Transaction dates
Transaction descriptions (merchant names)
Transaction amounts
Account balance

This data is sent directly to your personal FIFO account and is not shared with anyone else.

What the extension does NOT collect

Your bank username or password — you type these directly into your bank's login page. The extension never sees them.
Your browsing history or activity on any other websites
Any personal information beyond the transaction data listed above

How your data is stored

Transaction data is stored in your personal FIFO account on secure cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud). It is used solely to power your personal finance dashboard. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party.

Data retention

Your transaction data is retained as long as your FIFO account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at rishuandshreya@gmail.com.

Third-party services

FIFO uses Google Cloud (Cloud Run and Firebase Storage) for backend infrastructure. Google's privacy policy applies to data stored on their infrastructure. FIFO does not use any advertising, analytics, or tracking services.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
